5 Breathtaking Views of the Mighty Brahmaputra River in Assam

Assam is the largest state of the Northeastern sister states and is proud to be home to the mighty Brahmaputra river, which begins it’s origins from the Angsi Glacier located on the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet. In China, it is named the Tsangpo.  When the river enters Arunachal Pradesh, another state in northeastern India, it is known as the Dihang (or Siang) River.

The Brahmaputra is also home to the world’s largest (Majuli) and smallest (Umananda) inhabited river islands.
