Northeast India also has many famous temples where many people from different places visit to offer a prayer for their health and wealthy life. A temple is a symbolic house, seat and body of divinity. There are many famous temples in Northeast India like Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Govindajee Temple in Manipur, Nartiang Durga Temple in Meghalaya, Malinithan Temple in Arunachal Pradesh, Om Temple of Aizawl in Mizoram, Dimapur Kalibari in Nagaland, Sundari Temple in Tripura, Kirateshwar Mahadev Temple in Sikkim. Almost all the states of Northeast India have famous temples.

Shree Govindajee Temple is the largest Hindu, Vaishnav temple in Imphal.

Nartiang Durga Temple is a 600-year-old Durga Temple located in the West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya.

Malinithan is an archaeological site which consists of ruins of a Hindu temple of the early medieval period on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Dimapur Kalibari is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Kali in the town of Dimapur in Nagaland state of India.

Tripura Sundari Temple is a Hindu temple of Goddess Tripura Sundari, better known locally as Devi Tripureshwari.

The Kamakhya Temple also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya temple, Kamakhya Devalaya, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas.

Kirateshwar Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple, identified to be a Hindu pilgrimage site which is located at Legship, West Sikkim.
