Buddhist Stupa, Baxanagar
Recently after denudation of a natural forest area, ruins of a brick built building arising in the northwestern part of Sonamura Sub-Division on the edge of the border with Bangladesh. The local people initially recognized the remains to an ancient temple of Manasa - the goddess of Snake. Attention of the Archacological Survey of India was drawn and they took over the site.
