Perfect for people seeking the ultimate pan-Himalayan view, Daman is about 80 km southwest of Kathmandu (approx. 4-hour drive). It is a small hill station located at an altitude of 2322 m and is the perfect getaway to escape from the scorching heat during the summer.
Adorned with nature, Daman is tranquil and surrounded by greenery all around. On the best of days, Daman offers the only unimpeded view of the entire Himalaya range starting from Mount Everest in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west. At the top of the hill of this serene town, there is a view tower fitted with a long-range telescope. The telescope allows visitors to enjoy views of 8000 m tall mountains that Nepal so proudly boasts of.

(3) Pay homage at the Shree Rishikesh Mahadev Temple
This sacred Hindu shrine of Lord Shiva is located 1 km south of Daman. You need to hike through the dense forest to reach the temple, which is an adventure in itself.
Legend has it that when Lord Shiva was carrying the Goddess Sati after her death, the mourning and lamenting Lord Shiva rested for while in a place where the temple stands today. This is why the temple is so revered.
