The waterfall in the name Rani Lumum

In West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India there is a small town called Bhalukpung. The Bhalukpong town is located at 213m above sea level, 100 km from Bomdila, 52 km from Tezpur and 5 km from Tipi. It lies along the Kameng River and is the headquarters of the Bhalukpung circle. Bhalukpong has many touristic places to visit. One of the places is the Lumum waterfall which is approximately 5 kilometers from Bhalukpong and the Lumum waterfall is on the way to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. Many people visit the Lumum waterfalls and the place is really beautiful. The visitor visits the waterfalls with their loved ones and enjoys the mesmerizing view of the waterfalls. The Lumum waterfall is a good place to enjoy it would be one of the places for enjoying a beautiful waterfall. It is said that the Waterfall has been named after Rani Lumum of Hrussos. Earlier it was known as “ Mimjeow Kutsu” indigenous people of the land, Lumum was married to Drulyu Dususow, the head of Gohaintain Village, After the death of Drulyu Dususow, Lumum becomes the “Nugom” of Gohaintain Village, because of her wisdom and morality. The Lumum waterfall can be reached via road since the roads are easily accessible and well connected to Guwahati, Tezpur and other places. Arunachal Pradesh State Transport (APST) as well as private bus services are also available daily from Tezpur to Seijosa (except on Thursdays), Seppa and Itanagar. One can also hire a cab from Tezpur and Bhalukpong. The nearest airport to reach Bhalukpong is Tezpur airport which is 52 kilometers from Tezpur and the nearest railway station is Bhalukpong railway station which is a small railway station in West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh. From Bhalukpong one can easily reach the Lumum waterfall and the Lumum waterfall is just beside the road.
