Kakching is a town located in Manipur. It is the headquarters of Kakching district and it is also a major commercial hub in the state. In 2018, Kakching was declared as the cleanest city in North East India.

The town is about 44 km away from the state capital of Imphal, and it is about 70 km from the international border with Burma. The people from Kakching keep on participating in many cultural fields which reflects the heritage of Meitei people. It includes storytelling and dance (Nat Sankirtan and Meitei Pung Cholom), as well as the martial arts Thang-Ta, Satjal, Mukna, and the sport of Kangjei.

There is one festival which is Kakching Haraoba festival it is one of the six Lai Haraoba in the state of Manipur. This festival is in part a recollection of the creation stories played by the deities with the first origin of this universe and evolution of plants and animals through the will of Atiya Shidaba.

You will find the People's Museum in Kakching houses with many ethnic and valuable items. The dialect of Meitei language spoken in Kakching is slightly different from the main Meitei language in terms of tone and style.

There you will find local company ADAM kakching, where one can buy all the woods products and gift items which they sell. These items are quite popular outside the town as well.

The most beautiful attraction of this place is you will find is Kakching Garden. It is situated at Uyok Ching, which is in the south of Kakching Bazaar. It is developed as a tourist centre for the tourist all around the world. This site includes the Mahadev Temple, Ibudhou Pakhang Laiseng, and the statue of Hao Sampubi. You will also find a beautiful rose garden and a park with a nice restaurant.

There is a road up to the hill was constructed for vehicles to reach the garden. It is not that smooth road but it is not bad also. One can enjoy the smooth drive up to the garden. This site is popular with people from Manipur and the surrounding area.

All the important programs which are related to social and culture are also organized here with full enthusiasm.
