The Sateramiar Hawar which is in the area of Kailashahar is 9 kilometers away from the district headquarter of Kailashahar in Tripura a northeastern state of India. The place Sateramiar Hawar used to be wet area fed by the water of two streams namely Jarail Cherra and Bagua Cherra. As per the local, it is said that 17 Moslems (Mia) was crossing this water land which is one f the largest land or field earlier in the water land area there used to be full of aquatic trees and while crossing the water land the 17 Moslems sank in the water along with their boat since then the whole area is known as Sateramiar Hawar. Now the water land area is the largest field and we can only see buffalos and cows but during winter season flocks of migratory birds can be seen in this place. The Sateramiar Hawar is also one of the places of interest to visit for tourists. Before Agartala Kailashahar was the ancient capital of the Tripuri kingdom. Kailashahar is well connected with Agartala and other major cities like Guwahati, Silchar, and Shillong of northeastern states by roads. Kailashahar history is associated with Unakoti and its stone and rock-cut images. To reach Kailashahar one needs to reach Agartala by road, train, or by road. The nearest railway station is Kumarghat which is almost 26 kilometers away from Kailashahar by road. One can take the bus, auto, rickshaw and other small vehicles to reach the main spot. Kumarghat is known for its extensive cultivation of pineapple and it is the prime occupation of the inhabitants of Kumarghat in Tripura. The highest producer of the fruits in the state is Kumarghat and they supply large amount of pineapples to Assam and other neighboring states of northeast India.
