Ita Pukhuri and Padum Pukhuri the historical ponds of Ithili Village

Ithili Village is in Meka Tehsil which is almost 14 kilometers away and it is almost 25 minutes drive from Roing in Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh in India has two main ancient historical ponds Ita Pukhuri and Padum Pukhuri and both the Pukhuri are built by brick. The Itapukhuri pond measuring 57m x 57m and Padum Pukhuri ponds measuring 60m x 60m are considered to be a twin historical brick pond and both the pukhuri Itapukhur and Padum Pukhuri are located nearby each other and are the major sightseeing tourist attractions of Roing. During the month of October and November one can view hundreds of lotus flower bloom in Padum Pokhuri and the best time to visit the Pukhuri are October and November. The Pukhuri is surrounded by the lush green forest and in Padum Pukhuri one can even view the ducks swimming in the ponds. The place is very beautiful and if you are traveling to Roing of Arunachal Pradesh do not miss a chance to visit the ancient historical ponds Ita Pukhuri and Padum Pukhuri in Ithili village. Ithili village is a very small village which is located in the circle of Roing Village. As per the census 2011 the Ithili village has around 30 families residing with a population of around 133 only. To reach Roing village one needs to reach Tinsukia railway station of Dibrugarh railway station in Assam and Tinsukia railway station is the nearest railway station from the railway station one needs to hire a taxi to reach Roing or can take a public transport and the distance from the railway station to Roing is almost 113 kilometer. From cities like Guwahati, Chennai, and New Delhi to Tinsukia, Dibrugarh railway station regular trains are available at fair rates. From Roing to reach Ithili village one needs to hire a local taxi since the taxi is easily available.
