Trekking Trail
The trail starts from Dirang Dzong to Napdey Village. Few people also do a half-day trek. The best time to visit Dirang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh for this trek is between Oct-Apr. Dirang is an untouched valley known for its apple and kiwi orchards, heritage villages, hot water springs, Sangti Valley, Dirang Dzong, Mandala top, National Yak Research and Breeding Centre, etc.
How to Reach Dirang
Dirang is between Bomdila and Tawang and various modes of transportations are available to reach Dirang. You can hire a cab from Guwahati, Assam or can take other public transport to reach the place. If you are travelling from any other places, you need to first fly to the nearest airport—Lilabari airport in Guwahati, Assam—or can take a train to Guwahati, Assam. Travelling to Dirang on the same day is not possible; hence, you need to stay overnight in Guwahati, Assam and travel to Dirang the very next day. Dirang is almost 42 km away from Bomdila.
