Many parents have a fear of flying with their infants. But just because you have kids doesn't mean that you are duty-bound to stay at home! Here are some valuable guidelines for a fuss-free flight with infants!

At The Airport

If you travelling with a baby, you can book for airline tickets offering Escort Pass for a partner to direct you till the entrance. If that is not possible, you may ask the airport staff to help you out. At times others passengers may also offer a helping hand if you try to befriend them.

Moreover, arriving early at the airport is very essential as you can not rush to the entry gate with your child and luggage in hands. Reaching the airport before time also helps the kids to relax as they get plenty of time between the car ride and airplane travel.

On the Flight

Flying with infants is really a challenging task for parents who are unaware of the necessary tips for flying with kids. The foremost distress that infants face in flights is cabin pressure that keeps changing while taking off and landing. This creates pressure in the ears of infants which can be quite painful for them. To avoid such a situation the best way is to breastfeed the child or let him suck on a bottle, pacifier, or sippy cup.

Moreover, the parents must carry extra plastic bags to gather all the wastes. As infants are prone to wobbly bowel movements, it becomes highly important to carry a change of clothes and diapers for them to avoid messy situations.

For feeding the infants during the flight you must bring water, juices and frozen milk as the flight crew may run out of such necessities. Be aware of the airline policies in terms of liquids. If you have requested the crew to heat up the baby sipper, do check the temperature of the milk to make sure if it is fit for the baby.

The more your child stays happy, the more your journey will be calm and stress-free. Carrying story books, small toys and DVD player can keep your child busy and happy throughout the trip.

Landing

As mentioned earlier, at the time of landing ear pressure may trouble your infant for which you may need liquids to feed your child. Get it from the flight assistants before the landing process.

Once your flight has landed, do check in and around your seat to collect all the belonging such as toys that your kid might have scattered around. It's better to wait for others to move out rather than being crushed along with your baby in a bid to move out first.
