Cane and Bamboo Handicrafts

The people of Arunachal Pradesh make the best use of their natural resources, which includes making beautiful household items such as utensils and baskets out of cane and bamboo and small articles of personal adornment such as calflets, leglets, and necklaces.

Jewellery

Handmade has become a staple in the jewellery world and Arunachal Pradesh is no exception. The museum displays a variety of ornaments from different parts of the state. Beaded ornaments from Tirap district; ornaments of caste, bronze, and silver from Kameng and Siang district; and grass necklaces made from the skin of the reed plant from Tawng district are displayed for purchase.

Handlooms

Arunachal handlooms such as carpets, cushion pads, floor coverings, and wall hangings have been acclaimed to be of national and international repute. The state can also be called a store house of handloom design as its 20 major tribes and 100 sub-tribes have major handloom designs. most of which are available in the Museum if you wish to take home.
