Golf is a fun sports and may start out as hobby that can soon become a life passion. If you are just starting to play the game, here are a couple of beginner golf tips that may help you improve your game:

1. Don't invest on an expensive set of golf clubs right away.

While you're still learning the subtleties of the game, you don't really need to spend so much money buying the fanciest set of clubs. In fact, you can even start with used clubs, or even rent a couple of them from the golf course. You will only need the very basic irons, a putter and two woods to complete your set.

You can find some cheap ones in garage sales, as most pro golfers change their sets yearly, so you may find some good ones that are not so worn out for a few bucks. Usually, golfers start playing with their friends, so just borrowing a few clubs from them may not be such a bad idea. As you improve your game and become engrossed in it, you may start investing some money towards buying a top notch golf set.

2. What you save from buying the most expensive golf clubs, you might as well just to pay for golf lessons.

Some schools offer golf lessons, although you can actually hire a pro to help you improve your game. Some pro golfers usually charge about $30 for a 30 minute or 1 hour lesson. If you can't afford it, try finding a friend who can give you lessons for free. However, it is still better to learn the game from a school or a pro golfer, in order to understand the technicalities of the game better.

3. Find a good place to practice.

Some golf schools will also have practice areas. Usually, there are some driving ranges within your area, but if you can't find one, or one is just too expensive, your own backyard may be a good place to practice your swing. You may not have the space to use real golf balls, but you can still practice your swing. There are also some putting equipment that you can buy which are good for small spaces like the living room.

4. Choose the best golf course that suits your playing level.

As a beginner, you may settle for easy golf courses first, usually those that are only good for a nine hole game. When you feel you're ready for a full sized, 18-hole golf course, ask your golfer friends where would be the best place to play. For beginners, places that are not too sandy nor have too much water would be ideal. You may choose a quiet, not too crowded golf course as well, if you prefer to play without a lot of people watching.

5. Don't take it too fast, too soon.

Lastly, play the golf for fun first, and not really to become a pro right away. That may be asking too much of yourself, too soon. Have fun playing, love the gameFind Article, and the rewards will come later.
