By using these tips, you could save hundreds of dollars in travel expenses. Trust me, your bank account will thank you.

Don't think of your local airport as your only flight option. Check other airports that are close, but just maybe not as convenient as your immediate airport. Prices can vary tremendously depending on which airport you decide to fly out of.

You can get a significant reduction in price of an airline ticket simply by changing your flight times or dates. Be willing to take flights early in the morning or later at night. Also, be flexible with your departure and return dates. Typically, midweek flights are going to be significantly cheaper than weekend flights.

For example, I can guarantee that a 5am departure flight will be cheaper than a 10am flight, to the same location, all things being equal. The airlines realize that they are less likely to get those early morning flights booked and offer a discounted price for the inconvenience. The same logic is applied to midweek flights versus weekend flights. Try to avoid flying on Friday, Saturday, or Sundays as this is obviously when the airlines are going to have the most travelers. The prices will also reflect this truth.

Many credit card companies offer these programs, as do various airlines themselves. Although, the points and fees may vary widely among the different programs most allow you to cash in points for discounts on airline tickets or upgrades. You may also want to try and purchase someone else's frequent flier miles at a discount.

Now, these tips are only beneficial if they are actually placed into practice. But if you do use them, you'll likely be the envy of your friends when you tell them how cheap your airline tickets were. The money you save on your tickets, will just be that much more that you can leisurely use on your trip. You can also choose sites like Jet Airways online booking and Go Airlines to book your tickets.

Of course, these tips are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to saving money and finding cheap air fares. I would recommend you conduct your own research to find other ways to save money on airfares. However, if your research doesn't result in you finding out how to under bid the priceline.com bidding system, show you where to buy cheap frequent flyer miles, or give you software programs that update you with the latest cheap airfare dealsArticle Submission, you might want take a look at someone else's research. Here's a good place to start.
