Umananda Island is the smallest river island in the heart of river Brahmaputra flowing through the city of Guwahati in Assam, a state in northeast India.
Beautiful two hour outing, short boat ride to reach the small island, pray at the temple, followed by a quiet walk around the island. You need to take a ferry ride to reach Umananda Temple. Government ferry is available at Rs. 10 per person.
