From the main road you have to walk for 2 minutes to reach the homestay. In the homestay you will be served delicious local food which you will really enjoy. How to Reach Lachen

The nearest airport is Pakyong airport of Sikkim, which is at a distance of 30 km from the capital Gangtok. You can also fly to Bagdogra, which is one of the nearest airports to reach Sikkim when the Pakyong airport of Sikkim is not functional due to weather conditions. The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri railway station, West Bengal. A drive from both the Bagdogra airport and New Jalpaiguri railway station of West Bengal to Gangtok, Sikkim is almost 5 hours. You have to overnight stay at Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim and start a journey towards Lachen on very next day. To reach Lachen from Gangtok it takes almost 5 to 6 hours depending upon the road and weather conditions.

The best time to visit Lachen is between March to June and October to December.
