Planning a vacation can sometimes be a frustrating experience, but it's often a lot of fun. Most of us enjoy the sense of anticipation that's associated with this process and we like to think that it will be possible to create a vacation experience that will be truly memorable.

When you think about your own experiences, you may feel that things don't always manage to live up to your expectations. Is this because your expectation levels are simply too high? Although there may be an element of this, it's important to remember that you probably save up a lot of money for these occasions. That's something that can work really well, allowing you to enjoy multiple, different experiences within one trip. Of course, such itineraries do usually involve a fair bit of Planning.

If you're looking to move from one location to the next, then you'll certainly need to think about your transport options. Will you be hiring a car? You may prefer the option of relying on public transport systems. In some ways, it could be said that your choices are likely to be defined by your chosen area of travel. Some countries have great railways, while others will leave you far more dependent upon hiring a vehicle of some sort.
