Enjoy the mesmerizing Changay Falls

Changey waterfalls are one of the waterfalls on the way to Dentam and 10 kilometres away from the city Pelling. The waterfalls on the way to Dentam are quite big and are visible from the road itself and now have become one of the major tourist attractions of the region. The waterfall is active throughout the year. It is situated at a height of about 300 metres, these falls are on the way to Dentam Valley.

While descending, these falls disappear into the extensive greenery around the waterfall and because of the whiteness of the waterfall; it appears like a great white line, with the backdrop of dense green vegetation. The fall flows through the Changey village from Ranidhunga is considered as a famous tourist destination. Other villages surrounding this waterfall are Sapung, Chhangey and Bongten villages.

Across these falls, tourists can also find Dentam Bazaar, which an old village market is housing a cheese factory and other tourist spots in and around. Dentam is a scenic village located 50 km from Varsey in West Sikkim District, one of the famous hiking trails. It is at an elevation of around 1,500 m. Dentam commands a constant view of the Kanchenjunga. The entire area of Dentam is surrounded by a forest of rhododendrons. There are many places to visit in and around Uttarey Trout Hatchery Centre like Alpine Gouda cheese factory is approximately one hour drive which can be clubbed in the itinerary along with other tourist destinations like Singshore Bridge, it is the highest bridge of Sikkim and the second-highest bridge in the Asian continent. The beautiful Singshore Bridge offers an amazing view of the verdant hillsides, awe-inspiring waterfalls, and the perfect valley. The Singshore Bridge is a man-made marvel which offers the beautiful views of green hills; one can even feel the thrill when standing in the middle of the bridge when the strong wind blows. The other tourist destinations are Rabdentse Ruins, Pemayangtse Monastery, Khangchendzonga Waterfalls, a very famous monastery Sangachoeling Monastery, Sewaro Rock Garden, Khecheopalri Lake and Darap Subba Village. The distance from Dentam to Gangtok, a capital city of Sikkim is approximately 143-kilometre drive.
