Deorali Mani Lakhang is one of the most visit tourist spots and the Mani Lakhang is located just below the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology housing one of the largest Mani’s a prayer wheel inside main compound along with a small Ani Gompa or a Nun’s Monastery. The Mani Lakhang is just beside the road and it is also a part of the Do Drul Monastery. The Do Drul Monastery is located approximately at a distance of 3 kilometer from the main market in Gangtok, in the Indian state of Sikkim. Beside the Monastery there is the Do Drul Chorten which was built in the year of 1945 by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism. The Do Drul Monastery has a number of prayer halls and a butter lamp hall where one can light butter lamps for well being and happiness. As per the legends it is believed that the entire place was once hunted by the evil spirits and whoever visited that place became victims and died but later Trulshik Rimpoche who was a much-respected lama from Tibet visited this place and in the year 1946 he built the Stupa and drive away from the spirits. The deity enshrined on top of the Chorten Stupa is known as Dorjee Phurpa or Vajra Kilaya. This Chorten is regarded as one of the most important Chortens of Sikkim. After the death of Trulshik Rinpoche, another lame named Dodhrubchen Rinpoche came and he established his dharma preaching centre where almost 700 monks can be accommodated.

Just in front of Mani Lakhang there is a hand structure of Guru Rinpoche which is just beside the road.
