Coming to the Vastness of Jayanti

About Jayanti

Dooars is one of the most unexplored areas of India, and of course, very much underrated. On one part of Dooars is the Buxa Tiger Reserve, and within those beautiful jungles lies the beautiful place called Jayanti. It is one of the best off-beat places in Dooars to relax and rejuvenate, and that’s one of the many reasons it is becoming a hot spot for visitors of north Bengal. In fact, many people choose to call it the “Queen of Dooars”. Geographically, it is located in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal and is around 30 kms away from Alipurduar, popular city in North Bengal.

Jayanti is flawlessly placed along the Jayanti River that gives the place its name. Moving much behind the city life, this is probably one of the few places where nature seems to calm down the busy hassles of life. With the chirping of unknown birds, undying greenery and refreshing views of the river in monsoons, Jayanti can be the perfect weekend spot for people coming to this area. Given the fact that it is located in Buxa Tiger Reserve, the place is frequented by nature and adventure lovers alike. Visitors coming here can choose to take a tour of the Buxa Tiger Reserve or can check the unparalleled natural beauty of the jungles nearby.
