When building a blog you want to attract targeted traffic that will continue to return which is the only way loyalty develops. In order to do so your blog posting habits will need to display certain characteristics that will serve to attract readers and encourage them to return time and again! Obviously you want to offer visitors unique content but this is just the starting point around which you will focus your efforts! You want to establish a certain continuity in terms of the visitors to your site so you can 'build' off their loyalty! Attracting and just as important retaining the same targeted traffic will tend to give your blog much deeper roots!

Having said that here are 3 blog posting habits you will need to adopt and routinely display to attract focused and loyal readers!

Original Content

Whether it is new information or newsFind Article, your insight or even offering an opinion you always want to place 'your' stamp on each entry. If your blog posting can not or does not offer people unique content of some sort what's the sense of them returning? Originality is your best and only bet of attracting and building a strong and loyal following so concentrate on this aspect when updating your site!

Topic Relevancy

Now this is where it can get a little tricky for many due to the fact that blogging is a long term process. Continually developing unique content that maintains a relevance to the topic of the site can become quite challenging! This often results in the blogger 'drifting' away from the main subject in an effort to develop more reading material for the site. What happens now is that current subscribers become confused or uninterested and therefore stop returning. Now the site begins to attract people interested in the 'new' topic but this will not last for long being the blogger will eventually get back on track! The result is old readers have been lost while new ones are only 'short term' and the site administrator now must work harder to replace lost subscribers!

Posting Consistency

Much has been said about the importance of frequent blog posting but over the long haul it comes down to consistency. People want to know what to expect so they can 'schedule' their time accordingly and establishing a consistent pattern of updates will be of great benefit! In fact for many bloggers focusing more on a consistency and less on frequency will make it easier for them to develop unique content! In this way they can avoid the urge to drift off topic as we discussed above!

The key to building a blog is to attract targeted traffic who are inclined to continue returning over time! As their loyalty builds so do the roots you are developing and the best way to achieve this is maintaining the 3 simple blog posting habits discussed above! Offering unique content that consistently displays relevancy to the topic of your site is the quickest and most efficient way to establish your blog. By doing so you are filtering out unfocused visitors and attracting only the targeted traffic you need for developing a blog with long term success in mind!
