If you have chosen to take a babymoon, congratulations! Now that you've made the decision to take the trip, it's time to decide what you are going to wear.

Going on vacation before the birth of your child is an exciting and rewarding trip. You will have the chance to relax before the stressful excitement of the big day. Being able to reflect in quiet what it is to be a mother will give you your last moments of quiet peace before the baby will join you permanently.

A babymoon is meant to allow for all of these things: relaxation, reflection, peacefulness and transformation. It is also meant to be fun and depending on where you chose to take your pre baby vacation, you need to consider what to wear and take along with you for those quiet moments.

First of all, what kind of retreat are you taking? Is it a pre baby, yoga retreat where you will be working on your breathing technique and learning to manage your pregnant body in new ways? If this is the case, best to pack lightly. Bring your favorite breathable cottons and stretch wear. There are yoga clothes for pregnancy. Look into purchasing a pair of pants and a simple tank.

If you are more active late in your pregnancy and are joyfully going on a outdoors adventure, prepare yourself and your feet with the proper hiking boots and/or walking shoes. You need to be sure that the shoes keep you properly balanced while you are out on the trails. Consider taking along pants that are fitted around the ankle to ward off any possible ticks and long sleeve shirts for mosquito protection.

A babymoon doesn't necessarily mean you are going to do anything at all. Perhaps you have signed up for a few leisurely days at a favorite resort. A spa treatment centered on relieving you of your pregnancy aches and pains will be much appreciated. For these types of vacations, pack lightly and enjoy wearing loose fitting dresses, sarongs and robes. There is no dress code for you when you are merely relaxing.

For others, a babymoon is a chance to spend sensual time with their spouse or partner. This might mean quiet dinners reflecting on the last few weeks of adult life prior to becoming a parent. Again, pack simply - you don't want to worry over having too much. A nice jersey dress and sandals can be dressed-up very easily for an evening dinner date. It might be fun to have a sense of humor and bring some sexy, pregnancy lingerie for after dinner.

Wherever your babymoon destination, even if it means your pre baby vacation is getting the nursery ready or going to the grocery store, enjoy these last moments of solitude. Take time to reflect and prepare for the busy bundle that is to arrive shortly. You will be happy looking back to these times, knowing that you did what you could to be mentally and emotionally prepared.
