On an end of November evening, TourGenie got a call from a travel enthusiast who wanted to visit all the NorthEast destinations of India Solo. Our travel expert quicky curated an Itinerary for him, based on his needs. He booked his Flight ticket and was all set for the Northeast India trip. Here is the northeast travel/ tour itinerary we created for him:
Day 1 – December 1st Saturday
ARRIVAL
Arrive at Guwahati.
Overnight stay in Guwahati. – Hotel D courtyard
Over Solo Night Stay: GUWAHATI
Day 2– December 2nd Sunday
GUWAHATI – KAZIRANGA – Approx 5 hrs drive
After breakfast, transfer to Kaziranga.
Overnight at the riverside Camp Nikori on the bank of Dhansiri river (camp is around 35 km from Kohora).
Evening bonfire and overnight at tent or Tree house.
Day 3
KAZIRANGA- 3rd December Monday
Kaziranga Camp: Morning depart for Agoratali range for optional Jeep Safari (starts from 6-8 am). It's a
30 minutes drive from the camp.
Further, go to Kohora range to visit the Orchid garden and return to camp for inhouse optional activities
like Paramotoring, river cruise on ferry and tribal village tour on the other side of Dhansiri river.
Evening bonfire and overnight at the camp.
Day 4 - 4th December Tuesday
KAZIRANGA TO KOHIMA - Approx 9 hrs drive
Start your journey to Kohima and check in to Hornbill festival special camp inside the festival ground.
Evening explore the festival venue, bonfire at the camp and
overnight at Kisama Heritage Village.
Day 5 – 5th December Wednesday
EXPLORE KOHIMA
Full day explore the festival
overnight at the camp.
Day 6 – 6th December Thursday
DZUKOU VALLEY TREK Approx 1hr to start of trek site
Leave early morning for Dzukou valley trek
Overnight stay at Dzukou.
Day 7– 7th December Friday
DZUKOU TO KISAMA
Dzukou to Kisama return journey (trek and transfer) and overnight.
Day 8 -8th December Saturday
EXPLORE KOHIMA
Khonoma village and Kohima city tour. Is it possible to the Pulie Badze quick day trek
Overnight Solo at Camp.
Day 9-9th December Sunday
KOHIMA TO KAZIRANGA
Kohima to Kaziranga transfer.
Overnight at the camp.
Day 10 -10th December Monday
KAZIRANGA TO NAMERI – Approx 3 hrs drive
Kaziranga to Nameri transfer
Go for a first trek and possibly river rafting
Overnight at eco camp (tent with bathroom or bamboo huts).
Day 11 – 11th December Tuesday
NAMERI TO DIRANG – Approx 5 hrs
Nameri to Dirang transfer and explore Dirang then to Sangti valley.
Overnight Solo Stay at Sangti valley riverside camp.
Day 12 – 12th December Wednesday
DIRANG TO TAWANG – Approx 6 hours
Dirang/Sangti to Tawang transfer (around 06 hours) via Sela Pass and Jung Water Falls.
Overnight at Tawang.
Over Night Stay: TAWANG
Day 13th -13th December Thurday
TAWANG
Full day, local sightseeing tour covering Tawang Monastery.
Overnight at Tawang.

Day 14th – 14th December Friday
TAWANG
Day tour to Sangetsar lake and Bumla Pass (Bumla is subject to permits).Around 2 hrs one way

Tawang to Bomdila return transfer (around 07-08 hours).

Bomdila to Shillong transfer (around 10 hours drive) via Umium lake.
Leave early – 6 am – reach Umium Lake by around 3pm.

SHILLONG SIGHTSEEING
Full day tour, Shillong sightseeing. Would like to visit Mawphlang sacred forest, Laitlum canyon or elephant falls.

A DAY VISIT - CHERRAPUNJEE TO DAWKI AND MAYLYNNONG
Full day excursion. Possible kayaking and other water activities
Overnight at Shillong.

SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI Approx 3 hrs
Transfer from Bomdila to Guwahati transfer (around 08+ hours) and drop at Guwahati.
