Kathmandu Durbar Square, Nepal, Kathmandu

The first on the list is Kathmandu Durbar Square. Located in the Basantpur area of Kathmandu, Kathmandu Durbar Square is one among the three durbar squares that reflects the rich history and architecture of the country.

Built by King King Prithvi Narayan Shah, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was originally his royal palace. The durbar also has many significant temples inside it as well as a glorious Hanuman Dhoka Complex, which makes it further popular among the travelers. During various festivals and occasions, the durbar gets flooded with visitors.

Garden of Dreams, Nepal, Kathmandu

Built with a plethora of eye-catching wonders like amphitheatre, urns, pavilions, and ponds, the Garden of Dreams of Kathmandu attracts both local as well as international tourists. It is a perfect place to experience the serenity and peace of mind as you can escape from the chaos of the city.

It was built and designed by Kishore Narshingh and later on Kaiser Sumsher Rana was the patron of the garden. However, after the death of Sumsher Rana, the Austrian government renovated it for visitors.

Boudhanath Stupa, Nepal, Kathmandu

This spherical shape Stupa is located at a distance of 11 kilometres away from the city. It remains crowded by thousands of devotees from different places every year who come here to wish. Moreover, the Stupa has a soft place in the hearts of the religious pilgrims.

It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and is known by various names, which include Chorten Chempo, the Buddha Stupa, Jarung Khashor, Chaitya, and the Khasti.

Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal, Kathmandu

Located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, the Pashupatinath Temple is considered to be one of the popular Hindu temples in Nepal. The magnificent temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, and a large population of people visit this temple to take his blessings.
