The drive to Darjeeling takes you past scenic landscapes, with tea gardens and specks of colorful flowers on trees whizzing past you.
The usual stopover for tea when travelling to Darjeeling is at Lopchu, but just ahead of this is a place called Lamahatta Eco Park. The Eco Park comprises a beautiful pine forest on a sloping hill. A cobbled trail up the hill leads you to a lake, considered to be spiritual by locals.
Lamahatta Eco Park is worth the visit, so do make time to spend atleast an hour here before heading to the “Queen of Hills”- Darjeeling.
