This 200 years old monastery built in the site blessed by Lama Druptok Karpo is an important seat of Nyingmapa order of Buddhism. Every year around December / January, "Chaam" or religious masked dance is performed with fanfare for two days.

The only monastery of the Sakya Order of Tibetan Buddhism in Sikkim which is located on a beautiful hill top at a distance of 5 kms from Mg marg, Gangtok.
