Arrival Darjeeling

  • Arrive in Darjeeling, checking in to your hotel and freshening up.
  • Afternoon at leisure at Chowrasta Mall, stroll along the scenic Mall Road (Bhanu Sarani) Later visit old heritage shops like Habib Mullick (on the mall), Jolly Arts (on the Mall) and few others and buy some curios or souvenirs. 
  • In the evening, stroll along Nehru road that leads down from the Mall 
  • Overnight at Darjeeling
Tiger Hill & Darjeeling 

  • Go for the early morning 3-point tour which covers famous sunrise from Tiger Hill, Old Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop 
  • Post Breakfast 7-point local tour which includes Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Ropeway, Tibetan Self Help Refugee Center, Lebong Race Course, Happy Valley Tea Estate etc.

Darjeeling - Gangtok

  • Drive to the capital of Sikkim. We visit the palace chapel and explore down-town Gangtok.

Gangtok Sightseeing

  • Morning half - GICI, Bhakthang falls, Gunjom Monastery, Tashi View Point, Smriti Van, Ganesh Tok. 
  • Afternoon - Banjhakri Waterfall, Chorten Stupa, Institute of Tibetology & Museum, Drop at Ropeway / Hotel / M G Marg.
  • Overnight at Gangtok
Gangtok - Rumtek – Gangtok 

  • Daytrip to Rumtek monastery followed by drive to Martam, an idyhllic village nestled in the midst of teraced paddy fields. 
  • Overnight in hotel.
Gangtok - Pelling - Pemayangtse Monastery 

  • Drive to West-Sikkim and visit Pemayangtse monastery with its unique wooden carving demonstrating the various spiritual realms according to Buddhism. 
  • Overnight in hotel.
Pemayangtse – Rabdentse

  • On the way back we stop to see the ruins of Rabdentse, the former capital of the kingdom of Sikkim. 
  • Overnight in hotel.
Pemayangtse - Puentsholing (Bhutan)

  • Visit West-Bengal we reach the border town Puentsholing in Bhutan. 
  • We register our passports and receive our visas for Bhutan.
Puentsholing - Thimpu

  • A beautiful mountain-road brings us to Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan.
DAY 10
Thimpu Sightseeing 

  • After breakfast, start for local Thimphu sightseeing - The National Memorial Chorten or Thimpu Chorten is a site for evening prayer. 
  • Sakyamuni Buddha - On the top of Kuensel Phodrang hill sits the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. The 51.5 meter long bronze statue would surely attract you and the uninterrupted view of the valley would leave you spellbound. 
  • Changangkha Lhakhang - At Thimphu you will go across several monasteries and temples. 
  • Changangkha Lhakhang is among the most important religious structures in Thimphu
  • The National Library - has got a fabulous collection of Buddhist manuscripts which are priceless. It also houses the World’s largest published book which is about 130 pounds and 5X7 feet.
  • Textile Museum - Get to know the living national art of weaving at the Textile Museum. Exhibitions introduce major weaving techniques, styles of local dress and textiles made by women and men
  • Takin Mini Zoo - The Takin is the national animal of Bhutan, and looks like a cross between a cow and a goat. 
  • Overnight in Thimphu
DAY 11
Thimpu - Punakha 

  • In the morning we visit the traditional paper factory, the Memorial Cheten as well as the Tashicho Dzong. 
  • In the afternoon we drive to Punakha
  • Overnight at Punakha
DAY 12
Punakha Sightseeing

  • Visit Punakha Dzong and the old and new town of Punakha. 
  • In the afternoon we drive to Chimmi Lhakhang and the town of Wangdue where we visit Wangdue Dzong.
  • Overnight at Punakha
DAY 13
Punakha - Bumthang 

  • Drive to Bumthang. On the way halt at Pelela Pass. Lunch in Tongsa. 
  • See Tongsa Dzong and on the way to Bumthang stop to see the weaving factory Yatra.
  • Overnight at Bumthang
DAY 14
Bumthang Sightseeing

  • Today we visit Jakar Dzong, Kurje monastery, Jamphel monastery and Tamshing monastery. In addition visit at the Swiss Farm where cheese, apple juice and brandies are produced. Finally, before returning to our hotel we visit the town of Chomkahr.
  • Overnight at Bumthang
DAY 15
Bumthang - Punakha 

  • After breakfast we drive to Punakha. On the way we visit Ta Dzong in Tongsa and have lunch there.
DAY 16
Punakha - Paro

  • Drive to Paro. Lunch in Thimphu or Paro.
  • Overnight at Paro
DAY 17
Paro Sightseeing

  • Hike to the Taksang Monastery - clinging to a steep cliff at more than 3,000m, the hike to the monastery will take approximately 4-5 hours. 
  • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most imposing temples in the country. It is said that the Tibetan King Sontsen Gampo built 108 temples in the Himalayan region in the 7th century, and Kyichu Lhakhang is one of them. 
  • Speial meal with a local family in the late afternoon. 
  • Evening at Leisure 
  • Overnight in Paro

After morning breakfast, our guide and driver will transfer you to airport for your onward flight and assist with your luggage. Your beautiful Bhutan Tour ends here.
