  • Visit the Kohima War Cemetery and WW II Museum. This is one of the places all tourist love to go as this is a reminiscent of the world war and the martyrs who gave their life. 
  • Nagaland State Museum – A glimpse into the Naga tradition and culture. This place is home to many artifacts and heirlooms of the Naga tribes. 
  • Kohima Zoo – Visit here to see the wild buffalo, which is the state animal and the rare Blythe’s Tragopan bird. The zoo is set in a hill and there is a play zone for children too.
  • Khonoma village – This is Asia’s first green village and is located at about 20kms outside Kohima. It is home to the Angami Naga tribe and is one of the places in Nagaland that attracts many tourists who want to understand how this tribe once known for largely depending on foraging and hunting, ended up being eco-activists. The village also offers experiences like bird-watching, trekking etc.
  • Kisama Heritage village – This village is the most famous of places in Nagaland and becomes the venue for the Hornbill Festival in December every year, where tourists from all over the world flock to. It is a week long festival and this village is the government’s initiative to preserve the traditional homes and make it accessible to tourists to observe and interact with locals, visit their homes and other places and click photographs too.     
  • Shilloi Lake – The Patkai valley is home to the Shilloi lake, which is foot shaped and is the largest lake in Nagaland. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful landscape make it a must visit for that breath-taking photo for your album.
  • Kohima Cathedral – This is infact an architectural landmark which marries the modern elements with traditional Naga elements. The main façade of the cathedral resembles a traditional Naga house.
  • Japfu Peak- It is the second highest peak in Nagaland and is a popular tourist attraction. It is one of those places that any nature lover would love to explore. In fact there are even treks available to this natural wonder.
