BIKING IN NAGALAND
This package takes you on an adventure on a bike to the beautiful untouched pristine hills of Nagaland. This package will take you through Kohima and includes hiking to the third higest peak in Nagaland – Mount Pauna, in the Kuki heartland.
Meet your guide at Dimapur Airport followed by a short briefing.
Surface transfer (by car) OR biking en-route stop at a local vegetable market to get a feel of markets in Northeast India.
Overnight Hotel Kohima.
DAY 2
Kohima - Maram - Khullen - Willong
Morning bike till Kisama, the heritage village, which is 12 km on good paved road, to visit tribal morungs and II World War Museum.
Next bike for 4 kms to Jakhama village. Thereafter ride for another 18 km to Khuzama village where we will have a tea break.
Post tea, drive to Maram-Khullen village where local lunch shall be served. When in Northeast India, one must try the traditional foods here.
Post lunch we shall bike towards Willong village. En-route, we shall stop at Sangkhumai village for a cup of tea.
Later bike 4-5 km to Willong village. You will end your day here.
Overnight Willong village Home Stay.
DAY 3
Willong- Benreu
Today we shall bike for 15 km on gentle slope paved road and stop at Yankhullen village. We shall hike up to the village for about 1 km and visit the village, interact with the locals and tour the stretch to soak in the local flavors.
Later bike to Bake village (8 km) and explore the village on foot. Continue biking for another 12 km on gentle slope road to Zuimi village. Next visit “Haraka church/temple” and their abandoned site.
Bike for 20 km on a gentle slope to Tangpung village. Next bike downhill on typical dirt road for about 13 km and bike uphill for about 8 km to Peren town. Local lunch will be served on arrival.
Post lunch, ride for 22 km to Pedi village on a gentle slope road, stop for a brief visit.
Next bike for 12 km on rough road to Benreu village, out of these 12 km about 4 km of the road are quite bumpy and uphill.
Overnight Home Stay OR Community Cottage.
DAY 4
Benreu Sightseeing
Today we have the option to go hiking to the third highest mountain of Nagaland which stands at an altitude of 2500 m above sea level. It is regarded as “nature museum”. The hike is of 4-5 km somehow challenging with uneven gradients.
Picnic lunch. Hike back the same trail to Benreu village.
In the evening you will be invited to a traditional cultural show. Every state in Northeast India has its own tribal dances and Nagaland is no different.

DAY 5
Benreu - Khonoma
Today we shall bike to Poilwa village which is about 30 km on narrow and winding road (very less traffic). On arrival we shall tour the Poilwa village,
Bike for about 15 km to Dzuleke village, About 5 km is uphill (not difficult)
Depending on the season, we shall go traditional fishing which will be followed by picnic lunch by the river side.
Post lunch we shall bike for 5 km gentle uphill, have a break to see and feed “Mithun” with salt. It is the state animal, semi-domesticated.
Continue biking where we shall breathe clean thin air releases from virgin forest! We come across Alder based cultivation area and evergreen forest.
Overnight Khonoma Homestay.
DAY 6
Khonoma- Tuophema
Today we shall bike for 20 km to Kohima on gentle slope road, the capital city of Nagaland.
Visit Jakahama village, Kisama village, WW II Cemetery , local market followed by lunch .
Post lunch we shall bike gentle downhill to Tuophema village about 20 km and other 25 km are half uphill and gentle slope.
Overnight Tuophema Community Cottage.
DAY 7
Tuophema- Mokokchung
Today we shall bike to Mokokchung, home town of the Ao Naga, enroute visit Tseminyu village which is 17 km on gentle slope.
Next bike for another 25 km to Longsa village, lunch at Wokha.
Post lunch we shall bike for another 20 km downhill and later uphill to Longkhum village, visit the village on foot, meet locals, have a tea break, and carry on riding to Mokokchung.
Overnight Hotel at Mukukchung.
DAY 8
Mokokchung Bikeriding
Today we shall visit some Ao village on bike.
Bike to Impur village which is 15 km from Mokokchung town, visit Museum and bike to Mopungchuket village and tour it.
Later bike to Chami village and Sungratsu village and ride back to your Hotel.
Overnight Hotel at Mukukchung.
DAY 9
Mokokchung- Sibsagar
Today we shall bid farewell to the hills and bike towards the plain. Bike for 35km and visit Chuchu village on gentle slope road. Next continue biking to Amguri mostly on downhill.
Continue biking to Sibsagar, the legendary city in Assam, on a good paved road, but mind the traffic here. Visit temples and Ahom palace, museum, etc.
Overnight stay at a hotel at Sibsagar.
DAY 10
Sibsagar - Dibrugarh
Today we ride to Dibrugargh town, en-route stop at market, tea garden. Proceed to airport for your onward journey.

Payment Terms
Initial Deposit: Any confirmation is subject to an advance deposit receipt of 50 % of the total tour cost.
Balance 50% amount has to be paid one day prior to tour start date.

Amendments
Amendment in services: Amendment is subject to availability of related hotels/services and can only be done before the reconfirmation (07 days prior to the date of arrival). Additional cost as applicable for services would be charged for.
Amendment in Date: Travel date can be rescheduled maximum of up to 30 days, from the initial date of arrival, and rates or price confirmed is subject to change as it’s based on the prevailing rates and might increase due to currency fluctuation increase in the cost of fuel charges, change in any related tax structure, sudden change in hotels tariff or increase in transport cost.
Any amendment in date of travel beyond 30 days will be considered as canceled and Amendments cannot be made within 7 days of the date of travel.
Amendment in number of Pax: In case of reduction in the number of passengers, the cost will be increased as per our tariff and the supplement for the same has to be added along with the final payment. In such cases, please note that the advance deposit for the passengers not traveling cannot be adjusted or redeemed.
Cancellation
30 days prior to the date of travel 10% of total service cost.
30 to 11 days before the date of travel 50% of the total service cost.
10 days to date of Arrival 100% of the total service cost.
Cancellation Refund will be processed within 15 days from the date of cancellation and will be refunded to you only by online mode. If the online mode does not work then the cancellation amount will be sent to you by A/c Payee at par cheque.
In case travel arrangements are booked through sub-agents or channel partners refunds would be paid to the sub-agent or channel partners through whom the guest has booked.

Child Policy
Children above 10 years will be charged 100% as per Adult Rate (EPSR).
Children of 5 to 10 sharing parent’s room will be charged as per Child with Bed or Child No Bed.
