Nestled at an elevation of 3,636 m above sea level, Sandakphu offers an incredible panorama of Himalayan mountains. Due to its amazing height and jaw-dropping trekking route, Sandhakpur is considered a trekkers paradise. The best time to visit Sandakphu would be from October to December.

Maneybhanjang
Maneybhanjang

The trek to Snadakphu commences at Maneybhanjang ‘the place where all roads meet. This quaint little town is adorned with luscious scenery and very interestingly the place is also known as the “the land of land rovers’ because of an unusually high number of the rugged Land Rovers found around here.

Chitrey

Almost 3 km from Maneybhanjang is Chitrey, a small village located at an altitude of 8,340ft. The village is ornamented with towering oaks and pine trees. You will also come across an exquisite monastery that brings a sense of spiritual satisfaction.

Singalila National Park

The highest point in West Bengal, Singalila National park houses some of the most precious flora and fauna. Home to the noted Red Panda, the park also offers a naked view of mountains ranges spanning across Nepal to Bhutan. There are also two rivers flowing through the park; River Rammam and River Sirikhola.
