Zuluk is frequented for 3 reasons: a glimpse of the historic Silk Route, an exhilarating drive on the 32-hairpin bends, and a chance to witness snowfall in winter. It’s also a great destination to unplug from daily work life, with its few homestays providing a quiet retreat amidst nature.

If seeing snow is what thrills you the most, then a drive to Thambi Viewpoint is what‘s in order. Situated at a staggering height of 11,200 feet in upper Zuluk, Thambi Viewpoint gets plenty of snow in the winter months between December-March and offers magnificent views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Khangchendzonga, if it’s not too cloudy and misty though.
