Char Dham is a pilgrimage-cum-Cultural Centre has been constructed on top of the Solophok Hill, 5 kms from Namchi in South Sikkim. For the consecration of the Dham, Shri Jagadguru Sankaryacharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswati, in the presence of theEx- Chief Minister Shri Pawan Chamling and his wife Smt. Tika Maya Chamling, did the "Pran Prastisha" of the Dham on 8^th Nov, 2011.

There are replicas of the "Dwadash Jyotirlingas" (the twelve jyothirlingas) of Somnath, Mallikarjuna, Mahakaleswar, Omkareshwar, Kedarnath, Bhimashankar, Viswanath, Triambakeshwar, Vaidyanath, Nageswar, Rameshwar at Rameswaram and Grishneshwar surrounding the statue of Lord Shiva and the Char Dhams namely Badrinath, Jaganath, Dwarka and Rameshwar. There is a grand statue of Kirateshvar Mahadev and a temple of Shirdi Sai Baba too.

One can have a view of the Mt Kanchenjunga, Statue of Guru Padmasambhava at Samdruptse, Darjeeling and other such locations from here. The Dhaam facilitates the devotees for an overnight stay at the "Yatri Niwas" which can accommodate more than 90 people at a time. The Dham has won the National Tourism Awards 2010–11 under the category of "Most Innovative/Unique Tourism Project" by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Char Dham

The 87 ft high statue of Lord Shiva in a sitting posture marks the location of the main temple. Apart from this giant statue, the replicas of twelve Jyotirlingas along with the four Dhams - Badrinath, Jagannath, Dwarka, and Rameshwaram - are also installed in the complex. Solophok Chardham can be visited any time of the year. This unique Pilgrim Centre has a main temple of 108 feet height on which is based the statue of Lord Shiva on the sitting posture.

This place is always abuzz with religious discourses, cultural activities seminars, etc. The built up complex covers an area of approximately 7 acres and is accessible by a smooth road. Entry fee to this complex is INR 50/- per head. Footwear are not allowed inside, hence, visitors have to submit them at the entrance.
