While trekking to Tendong hill, you will come across the beautiful garden touching the base of Tendong in south Sikkim. The lush greens gradually ascend the slopes of an opposite hill along the highway with an area of 435 acres; Temi is the only tea garden in Sikkim.
The exquisite taste and aroma of Temi tea have earned accolades from national as well as international connoisseurs. The tea board of India has honored the estate with the “all India quality award” for two consecutive years 1994 and 1995.
Established in 1965, Temi produces about 100 metric quality teas per year. Witness the delicate the step by step process as tea leaves are converted to tea graduals at Temi factory. Then climb to the crest of the garden and treat your eyes to the magnificent view of the quaint neighboring villages and the impressive Tendong hills.
