DAY 1:

Arrive at Paro

  • On landing at Paro International airport, our representatives from A-ring Tours and Treks Trip will welcome you and escort you to the hotels for check-in and then after refreshment, we will guide you on the birding tour and other information that are necessary will be communicated by our guide specialized in Birding.
  • After lunch, we will look in the farmlands, evergreen forests, the riversides and shrubberies for some birds’ specieslike Aberrant Bush Warbler (Cettia flavoivacea), Blyth's Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus dumetorum), Himalayan Whistling Thrush (Myiophonus caeruleus), Common Teal (Ana crecca), Greyheaded Flycatcher Warbler (Seicercus xanthoschistos), Greenbacked Tit (Parus monticolus), Hodgson's Redstart (Phoenicurus hodgsoni), Jungle Crow (Corvus macrorhynchos), Himalayan Brown Dipper (Cinclus pallasi), Crestee Honey Buzzard (Pernis ptilorhyncus) etc. Overnight at hotels in Paro.

DAY 2:
Paro - Thimphu

  • Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, when we reach there we will check-in in the hotel.
  • After refreshment we will  go for birding around the stream near Motithang and in and around Begana and Cheri villages, the common bird that could be spotted are Common Sandpiper (Tringa hypoleucos), Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus melaschistos), Grackle or Hill Myna (Gracula religiosa), Grey Wagtail (Motacilla caspica), Whitebellied Yuhina (Yuhina xanthoteuca), Upland Pipit (Anthus sylvanus), Plumbeous Redstart .Overnight at hotels in Thimphu.

DAY 3:
Thimphu - Punakha.

  • Right after breakfast, we will drive to Punakha, on the way we will stop by Dochula pass (3,050m) which offers the most spectacular view over eastern Himalaya.
  • Then, we will drive to Punakha, but on the wait, we will stop to see some of the birds like Himalayan Griffon,  Speckled Babbler, Stachyris pyrrhops, Black-chinned Yuhina (Yuhina nigrimenta), Wood Pigeon (Columbia hodgsonii), Black-chinned, Spotted Dove (Streptopelia chinensis),  etc. 
  • When we reach Punakha, we will check-in in the hotels and after lunch, we will again look for bird in the valley like Fulvousbreasted Pied Woodpecker (Picoides macei), Large Grey Babbler (Turdoides melcolmi), Black-breasted Sunbird (Aethopyga saturata), Red-breasted Rosefinch (Carpodacus puniceus), Himalaya Tree Pie (Dendrocitra vagabunda), Little Bunting (Emberiza striolata).

DAY 4:

Punakha - Phobjikha 

  • Right after breakfast, we will then drive to Phobjikha which will take us about 2-3 hours and we will stop by on the way for birding as we pass through a forest of oak and rhododendron, it’s a nice way to capture some of the birds that are hardly found.
  • When we reach Phobjikha valley, which is one of the most important wildlife reserve in the country, we can spot birds Redheaded Bullfinch (Pyrrhula erythrocephala), Scarlet Finch (Haemmatospiza sipahi), Whitetailed Nuthatch (Sitta himalayensis), like Amur Falcon (Falco vesertinus), Redmantled Rosefinch (Carpodacus rhodochlamys), Firebreasted Flowerpecker (Dicaeum ignipectus),  Magpie-Robin (Copsychus saularis), Goldcrest (Regulus regulus), Great Pied Hornbill (Buceros bicornis), Common Hill Partridge (Arborophila torqueola), Snow Pigeon (Columba leuconota), etc.

DAY 5:

Gangtey- Thimphu

  • On our way back to Thimphu, we will stop on the way to see some of the birds Himalayan Griffon, Himalayan Swiftlet , Lammergeier, Snow Partridge , Purple Cochoa, Himalayan Monal Pheasant, Speckled Wood Pigeon and Rufousbellied Bulbul ,
  • on the way we will stop by to visit Chimi Lhakhang and later Lamperi botanical garden, in the evening, we will visit some of the places like memorial chorten, textile museum, school of arts and craft, flok heritage museum and Tashichoodzong. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

DAY 6:
Thimphu- Paro


  • On our way back to Paro, we will stop by to visit Simtokha Dzong, one of the oldest Dzong in Bhutan and later we will again stop by to take a short hike to the 14th-century suspension bridge built out of iron chains.
  • Afternoon we will visit the National museum, Ringpung Dzong and then Drukgyel Dzong, on the way we will stop to see the view of Taktsang temple (Tiger's Nest). Evening at leisure in Paro.
  • Overnight at a hotel in Paro.

DAY 7:

Depature

  • We will drive to Paro international Airport and our guide and driver will bid you farewell for safe journey.
