Karbi Anglong or the land of the Karbis may well be called the heart-beat of Assam. This beautiful, large sprawling district lies in the centre of Assam. This enchanting hills district with its diversely rare flora and fauna has remained untouched and undiscovered. Mother Nature has indeed been very generous to Karbi Anglong. Karbi Anglong district is one of the 33 administrative districts of the state of Assam in India. About percent of karbi Anglong is covered with forest. These forest areas are natural museums of living giant trees, a treasure house of rare, prevalent and rare species, a dispensary of medicinal plants, a garden for Botanists, a gene bank for economically important organisms, a paradise for nature lovers and a laboratory for environmentalists.

DAY 1
Arrival

  • Arrival and transfer to Golagath
  • Overnight stay at hotel Golagath
DAY 2
Golagath Sightseeing

  • Day visit to Garampani & Naambor wildlife Sanctuaries.
  • Visit Therovada Buddhist and Langkar Eco park.
  • Return back to Golagath.
  • Overnight stay at hotel Golaghat.
DAY 3
Golagath - Kaziranga

  • Drive to Kaziranga National Park.
  • En route stop at Deopahar Archeological site known as “The Hill of The God”. Deopahar stone temple is indicative of the fact that it belongs to the period somewhere between 7th and 9th century AD. According to Legends it is said that, Shiva Linga from the Temple was shifted and the Baba Than temple, which was established in 1713 AD.
  • Visit the Baba than temple and the Butterfly valley.
  • Evening drive on to Kaziranga, check in hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
DAY 4
Kaziranga Sightseeing

  • Early in the morning elephant safari inside the national park (timing 5:00 AM/ 06:00 AM/ 7:00 AM).
  • Post breakfast go for a Jeep Safari (timing 8:00 AM / 9:00 AM) for 03 hrs, after the safari come back to hotel. 
  • After lunch and refreshment go for another Jeep Safari in the Western/ Central range of the park (timing 2:00AM / 3:00 AM) for 02 ½ hrs, evening at leisure. 
  • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
DAY 5
Kziranga - Tezpur

  • Visit the Orchid & Biodiversity Park, local market.
  • Drive to Tezpur.
  • Check in hotel evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Tezpur.
DAY 6
Tezpur Sightseeing

  • Start the day visit from the Stone inscriptions at Bhomoraguri, these stone inscriptions date back to 1600 and describe the victory of Ahom Kings over the Mughals. On to Bamuni Hills the ruins are date back to the ninth and tenth century A.D. 
  • Agnigrah - site of romance of princess Usha (the only daughter of king Bana) and Anirudha, grandson of lord Krishna. Usha was kept on this hillock which was surrounded by fire, hence the name of Agnigarh.
  • Chitralekha Udhyan - Established by a British Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Cole in 1906, the park has two massive ornamented stone pillars, and other sculptural remnants.
  • Mahabhairab Temple - This temple is believed to have been established by king Bana with a Siva lingam. Formerly, this temple was built of stone but the present one is built of concrete.
  • Nine lines Inscription of Harjjar Varma located on the bank of river Brahmaputra the famous nine line inscription of Harjjar Varma (approximately – 815 – 834 AD).
  • Overnight stay at Tezpur.
DAY 7
Departure

  • Transfer to Guwahati and drop to Airport or Railway station for onward journey.
