DAY 1:
Guwahati – Shillong (Assam - Meghalaya)

  • Arrive at Guwahati airport, received and transferred to Shillong (130 kms / 3 hrs drive) along winding roads, its an experience of unforgettable beauty
  • Enroute stop at the scenic view point of the Umiam lake (one of the famous tourist places, the largest man-made lake in North East India)
  • Reach  Shillong and check into hotel
  • In the evening you can choose to explore Shillong’s famous Police Bazaar on foot
  • Overnight at  Shillong.
Shillong is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district and is also the capital of Meghalaya. It is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet. Shillong is also dubbed as the 'Scotland of the East' thanks to its rolling hills which mimics the landscape of Scotland.
DAY 2:
Shillong (Meghalaya)

  • After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing in Shillong which may include the popular spots such as the Don Bosco Musuem and the Cathedral of Marry, Wards lake etc.
  • Later you will visit the famous Shillong peak and drive back.
  • Evening will be at leisure
  • Overnight stay at Shillong
DAY 3:
Shillong – Cherrapunjee (Meghalaya)

  • Today after breakfast we set to explore Cherrapunjee (56kms/02hrs drive)
  • We will visit tourist places like the Elephant falls and then drive further to Cherrapunjee.
  • At Cherrapunjee we visit the Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Mawsmai Cave, Ramkrishna Mission etc.
  • Check into hotel
  • Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee
DAY 4:
Cherrapunjee - Guwahati (Meghalaya - Assam)

  • After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati.
  • Check in at the hotel
  • After lunch visit Kamakhya Temple.
  • You can enjoy the evening river cruise tour on the Brahmaputra River.
  • Overnight stay at Guwahati

Brahmaputra River - The Brahmaputra is the major river of North East India and flows through China, India and Bangladesh. It is the 9th largest river in the world with its origin in the Himalayas and ends in the Bay of Bengal. It is at its mightiest through Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

DAY 5:
Guwahati - Airport drop (Assam)

  • After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport towards your onward destination
  • Return home with happy memories and a desire to return for more adventures
