Till 1826, Nagaon was under the Burmese rule and came under the British rule after the Yandaboo treaty was ratified. Nagaon was carved out as a separate administrative unit in the year 1832. It took couple of years before the British finally settle on the present site of Nagaon town, on the bank of the Kalong River as the district headquarters in 1839. DAY 1
Arrival at Guwahati

  • Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to hotel. 
  • Enroute to hotel visit Kamakhya temple – it is situated at the top of the Nilachal Hill at about 800 feet above the sea level. The entire temple complex not only comprises of many other temples but also a whole set of people connected with them. Apart from the main Devi temple, it also comprises of some other major temples of Devi Kali, Tara, Bagala, Chinnamasta, Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi and Dhumavati. (Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark)
  • Visit Sankardev Kalakhetra – light and sound show or evening river cruise on direct payment.
  • Overnight at Guwahati. 
DAY 2
Guwahati – Chandubi Beel

  • Visit Umananda Temple, Assam Sate Museum, Guwahati Planetarium. 
  • Post Lunch travel to Chandubi beel.
  • Evening bonfire at Eco camp.
  • Overnight at Chandubi Beel.
DAY 3
Chandubi Beel Sightseeing

  • Start the day with early morning walk around the lake.
  • Boating facilities is provided by the locals on their wooden row boats. Each boating trip is as the boatman takes visitors through the length and breadth of the lake to explore while acting as a guide narrating the folklores associated with the lake.
  • Mayang Hill Reserve Forest lies to the south of Chandubi Lake. Being located inside a reserve forest has made it a secluded wetland with low interference, and a potential site for bird conservation.
  • Evening spend time with the local Rabha community members .
  • Overnight at Chandubi Beel.
DAY 4
Chandubi Beel – Guwahati

  • Drive to Guwahati.
  • Evening cruise on Brahmaputra river
  • Overnight at Guwahati
DAY 5
Departure 

  • Transfer to Guwahati and drop to Airport or Railway station for onward journey.
