Arrival – Tezu
We will pick you up from Dibrugarh and drive you to Tezu, a small town nestled amidst the serene Mishmi Hills of Arunachal Pradesh. There’s nothing planned for this day, so you can spend it at leisure.
You will be staying overnight at Government Circuit House.
You will be going on a short sightseeing tour this morning. Some of the places of interest you will be visiting are District Museum and Tezu Botanical Garden.
The rest of the day can be spent at leisure.
Tezu – Walong
After breakfast you will travel to Walong, a small cantonment area in Arunachal Pradesh.
Walong is the eastern-most town in India and hence the first sun rays in India fall on this place. Walong is mainly known for its memorials to the Indians who died during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Walong is also known for its hot water springs, which are around 9 km from the main city.
Once you’ve spent enough time in Walong, you will return to your hotel in Tezu. We’ve purposefully kept the day’s activities at a minimum as you need to start early the next morning to catch the sunrise.
Walong – Hayuling

The hike takes approx. half an hour (1.5 km), and you should the village by 5:00 am. Once you reach the top, you will be in time to witness the first sun rays hit India. Later on, enjoy the natural beauty around the village, and after some tea and snacks, make your way back to Walong.
